Fathers’ Daughter, The unexplainable, fierce love between a man and his little girl. The devotion to protecting her, teaching her, leading her, celebrating her, and loving her. The bond between a daughter and her Heavenly Father. The King who turned with a smile when His daughter touched His garment in faith.

“Go, daughter, your faith has saved you.”

This project explores the deep love and connection between a father and a daughter, mirroring the connection between women and Jesus. Using a 2006 Canon XTi for a nostalgic and intimate feel, the artist photographed father–daughter pairs, capturing intimacy, love, intention, and the growth that comes with fleeting time.

The project also includes images of a daughter in quiet moments of worship and connection with Jesus. This concept serves as a deep reflection on the artist’s relationships with her father and with God. She lives each day to honor the King and to make her father proud.

This is for her two J’s: Jesus and Jeffy.
