“The Joy of the Ride” is a series of small stories about cars and their owners. Oftentimes we focus on the journey or the route in which a car takes us but throughout this series of photographs we see the journey of the vehicle itself. Maintenance to these owners is not the same definition most people would think of. Instead of maintaining a car, they want to upgrade it, enhance it, and push it to its greatest potential. Throughout these images and stories, you will see cars worth more than some houses while some are barely worth more than the gas you put in them. Yet through each one you see the meticulous care and upkeep, each driver and owner does to ensure it gives the best ride it can. While it might not always be a long ride, it sure is a good one.
