Amanda Barrier
Contemporary Covenants explores God’s promises throughout Scripture, conceptually interpreting His timeless promises for modern eyes. Amanda Barrier chose five different promises to meditate on through the medium of photography visually. This exploration allows us to experience these verses from a new vantage point. We often hear God promise us things, but the distractions of life can blind our memory when we need them most. These photographs remind Barrier that His promises happen today, not just in the past. God fulfilled His promises, even in the making of this project. Barrier’s hope is that as you explore God’s faithfulness through this work, you will be reminded that God does keep His word, and He fulfills these promises.
Hold tight; promises are still being fulfilled. God will make all things new, give us a new heart, provide for us, comfort us, and transform our flaws into something beautiful.
