Amanda Barrier
Amanda Barrier approached “Wonder in Wandering” with enchantment, slowly photographing nature while being open to what the Holy Spirit showed her through the water and trees of South Orange County in California. She employed a haze filter and toned the photographs with a dramatic chiaroscuro — light and dark — to suggest God’s warm invitation to God’s presence. Nature invites people to see, hear, and feel God. Barrier prays God’s presence and wonders wash over viewers as they engage with this work.
