The multiple challenges of a romantic long-distance relationship vary from person to person, but intimacy can be shown even when apart. Distance creates a vacancy in one's life and can be both emotional and visual. Sam photographs places and things that narrate what it is like to feel so connected with someone yet be inaccessible to them and still be able to find peace while separated physically. Real love is something that is unconditional. It is something that distance cannot change.
